I was, and still am, a dork. Growing up just outside Chicago, Ill; I used to spend my mornings poring over a Japanese-English dictionary to translate my collection of Pokémon cards, with no knowledge of Japanese and a mouth full of Pop Tarts. That same self-starting drive and attention to the intricate strokes of hiragana lent itself to proofreading and editing essays and papers for my peers from then on through my university years and beyond. My first major project was the revised academic translation of the Arabic text Removal of Confusion by Shaykh Ibrahim Niasse, published by Fons Vitae. The immensity and superb quality of that work aside, I found in this editorial work a passion for making something excellent with excellence.
